Abstract:

Four new Mycetophilidae, representing the first records of the genus Zygomyia Winnertz, 1863 from
the Afrotropical Region, are described, photographed and their terminalia illustrated. Zygomyia siminensis
sp. n. and Z. yllae sp. n. are described from the Simien Mountains, Ethiopia and Z. mollemani sp. n. and
Z. toro sp. n., from Kibale National Park, Uganda. Data on Mycetophilidae in Ethiopia are presented for
the first time.
